Position Summary

The STERIS Accounting team is seeking an intern for the Summer of 2020. This dynamic role will provide a foundation for applying theory from the classroom to hands-on practical application in a corporate environment.  The Accounting intern will have exposure to corporate accounting, financial projects and business processes.  This is a unique time to join STERIS as we continue to grow globally and establish a lean philosophy to business processes. 

What you will do:
  • Create and post journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with month end Oracle reports
  • Assist with gathering audit requests
  • Fixed asset documentation/adjustments including preparation for tagging locations, changes as needed in subledger.
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
  • Assist with other projects as needed
What you will need to be successful:
  • Currently enrolled in college with a major in Accounting
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Applications - Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong learning agility, high energy, resourcefullness, analytical skills, team oriented, and communication
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred
