Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Manager VIC Consumables Sales to lead the growth of STERIS Central Sterile Department (CSD) Reprocessing Consumable Products across hospitals and healthcare facilities in Victoria and Tasmania. This role involves selling products such as detergents, lubricants, and instrument care solutions while expanding market share, delivering education, and supporting compliance with sterile processing standards.
In this role, you will plan, organize, and implement sales programs designed to achieve budgetary forecasts, ensuring maximum growth and profitability. Your efforts will align with the strategic direction of the business unit, contributing to the overall success of STERIS Australia.

What You Will Do
Growth
- Achieve sales targets through proactive account management, customer outreach, and relationship-building.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities in Central Sterile Department (CSD) workflows.
- Manage and expand a strong sales pipeline to grow market share in NSW.
Customer Engagement
- Conduct product trainings, demonstrations, and in-services to support sterile processing teams effectively.
- Address customer pain points with tailored solutions and recommendations.
- Deliver exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Strategy
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the sterile processing and infection control space to adapt sales strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams and clinical specialists to align sales initiatives with regional market demands.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with TGA/ISO regulations and adhere to all company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records of sales pipelines, customer interactions, and reports.
- Meet quarterly and annual performance metrics, including sales targets and customer retention rates
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
- Adequate years of experience in medical device/consumables sales, ideally within infection control, sterile processing, or surgical products.
- Prior experience in hospital procurement workflows or working with CSD departments is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of AS/NZS 5369:2023 standards, reprocessing protocols, and healthcare supply chains.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships, negotiate deals, and manage complex, long sales cycles.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities with a talent for building trust and rapport.
- Established relationships with CSD managers, infection control teams, or hospital procurement staff are highly desirable.
- Comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Frequent travel across VIC/TAS is required. Applicants must have access to their own vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
