Position Summary

Manages assigned territory to achieve company order, revenue and margin objectives by selling STERIS equipmentsand consummables , services and room decontamination services,  into pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, research and laboratory, medical device, cosmetics, food and beverage and dietary supplement markets.  Builds and maintains positive Customer relationships through written and verbal correspondence and direct personal contact.  Manages time and travel priorities while providing market feedback and territory based financial forecasts on a monthly basis.  


  1. Achieve assigned financial metrics via sales of STERIS equipments and consummables, services and room decontamination services while managing time, travel and investments in territory.
  2. Interact daily and effectively with Customers by phone, email and in person to handle commercial requests, technical inquiries and product related complaints.
  3. Work closely with STERIS Customer Operations, Applications Management, Field Service teams, the sales team and the management to ensure the quotations are quoted on Sales Connection, the equipement and services are delivered, installed and demonstrated correctly and on schedule with no erosion of margin.
  4. Communicate Customer concerns, industry trends and competitive activity across STERIS business units and functions. 
  5. Maintain an accurate monthly sales forecast accompanied by feedback to sales management to support projections. 
  6. Periodically organize and/or attend relevant trade shows and professional development seminars.
  7. Handle other duties and responsibilities as they are periodically assigned in compliance with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies while demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct.
  8. Prospects current and potential Life Sciences accounts to identify opportunities.
  9. Stays abreast of any market developments relevant to competitive activities and business opportunities and communicates them to STERIS.

  1. Must schedule a minimum of visit on customer site every week.
  2. Becomes familiar with and ensures compliance with all established STERIS Company policies and procedures.  Submits all requested business and administration reports in a timely manner.
  3. Must provide an activity report to their management.
  4. Assists with duties including formulation of strategic plans for business growth, revenue forecasting, new product launches, and development of marketing plans and sales tools.

Education Degree

  • Vocational/Technical in Engineering General

Required Experience

  1. Minimum 4-5 years documented sales experience; prior Scientific capital related sales experience preferred.
