Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Maintenance Tech, Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager, this individual will provide troubleshooting, repair maintenance, preventative maintenance and installation support for new and existing manufacturing equipment, facility equipment and devices. Provide on-line maintenance support. Responsible for maintenance/repair and calibration of all electrical/mechanical equipment including test equipment. Maintain all safety standards.
Work Schedule: 3rd shift Sunday - Wednesday 10:00pm - 7:30am, Thursday 9:30pm - 1:30am.
Duties
- Maintains and repairs electronic equipment, and industrial controls following blueprints and manufacturers' specifications and using hand tools and test instruments.
- Make or modify fixtures, tooling or equipment according to close tolerances, simple blueprints or engineering sketches. When necessary set up, operate and adjust production equipment to process materials for the assembly of new or existing products or processes.
- Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operations and electronic units and systems to diagnosis cause of malfunction.
- Converses with equipment operators to troubleshoot problems with equipment before breakdown and to determine if breakdown is due to human error or mechanical problem.
- Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts using the appropriate hand tools.
- Aligns, adjusts and calibrates equipment according to specifications.
- Assist with facilities maintenance, furniture moving, equipment set up for meetings, ect. Operates lifts, tow motors, jacks, hoists as needed.
- Maintains maintenance records as required.
- Maintains and operates low pressure steam boiler and air compressors.
- Follows all applicable quality and safety rules and guidelines.

Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- 5-10 years relevant experience with CNC/PLC/Electricity and welding.
- 2-3 years of experience working in a solid metal fabrication / machining environment required, preferably knowledge of STERIS equipment.
- Working knowledge with CNC, PLC, and Electricity up to 480V required.
Preferred Experience
- Fork Life Operator experience preferred
- Welding knowledge in carbon steel preferred
Skills
- Ability to read/understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and industrial standards.
- Demonstrated skill set to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical and mechanical production equipment including basic PLC troubleshooting, in order to support the requirements of Operations.
- Reading, writing, and basic math skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and react appropriately with shifting priorities and rapid change.
- Demonstrated high level of performance, professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
