Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer will join a growing, highly collaborative, dedicated Engineering team. This team focuses their efforts on Research and Development for Low-Temperature Sterilizers utilized in hospitals around the world. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation associated with the electrical systems.

What you will do
  • As an engineering member of the product development team, you will perform a full range of electrical engineering duties and project assignments.
  • This includes the machine electrical system hardware and wiring, electromechanical component specification, compliance to machine requirements, and compliance to applicable electrical codes and standards.
  • You will use electrical engineering principles in the selection of solenoids, motors, valves, process instrumentation and associated controls needed to meet machine control solutions.
  • Responsibilities also include working with vendors and suppliers to select electrical components/subassemblies that comply with machine requirements and specifications.
  • The Electrical Engineer will also prepare engineering reports, studies, calculations and check drawings for completeness and accuracy.
What you need to be successful
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree required
  • 2+ years of related electrical engineering experience. Recent graduates will be considered with applicable internship experience required.
  • Experience reading machine schematics and drawing schematics with software tools such as Visio, AutoCad, EPLAN
  • Experience utilizing common instrumentation including multimeters, thermocouples, power analyzers, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems
  • Experience with electrical engineering simulation tools such as Multisim, electrical design software tools, such as, Altium, Cadence, Eagle, OrCad, etc. is a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Detail Oriented, with working knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical testing design
  • Understanding of design and application of various sensor technologies, machine communication protocols, embedded hardware design and control technology highly preferred
  • Familiarity with LabView is desirable
  • Travel up to 10% domestic and/or International
