As the Senior Territory Sales Manager @ STERIS, you are responsible for establishing, growing, and maintaining Customer relationships to increase and maintain sales revenue of existing urology products within the portfolio.  You are responsible for cultivating new sales opportunities within Urology by meeting with prospects to uncover needs of the Customer within the realm of Kidney Stone Management in healthcare facilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, communicate, and execute a yearly business plan for the Urology product line
  • Achieve all revenue, gross margin, and focus product objectives established by the Urology Business Unit
  • Negotiate agreements where both parties agree to beneficial solution.
  • Develop relationships with customers in the Urology clinics and the healthcare facilities to promote STERIS Urology offering
  • Collaborate with other STERIS business units that share the same Customer to further STERIS portfolio offering “One STERIS”
  • Customer first, always.  Consistently acts in a professional and ethical manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations while achieving revenue and profit goals of STERIS
  • Conduct effective product evaluations with a protocol that leads to high probability of conversion
  • Manage the after-sale process, including installation and in-servicing to ensure customers have thorough knowledge or the safe use of the equipment.  Ensure continuing education is given to the Customer as needed to assure Customer product knowledge and comfort in usage
  • Establish routine call patterns to cover the territory in an efficient manner 
  • Identify and develop relationships with KOLs and key decision makers in defined territory
  • Actively participate in customer functions and associations to better enhance your understanding of customer’s business world, and how to meet those needs more effectively

What You Need to be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business or Marketing preferred)
  • Seven (7) years successful sales experience in the medical device field 
  • Three (3) years of demonstrated ability to successfully sell in the Urology space
  • 2 years of selling kidney stone management type products preferred
  • 2 years procedural experience in the urology space (BPH, Stone, TURP, Cysto, etc) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large portfolio of products across multiple sell points
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate large deals with senior decision makers
  • Demonstrated clinical selling and concept selling skills
  • Understanding of the hospital buying process.
  • Ability to train reps, lead conference calls or meetings, and take on a supervisory role with previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of 30 unique facility Urology contacts in the specified territory
  • Minimum of 10 unique surgeon contacts in Urology within specified territory
