We are currently recruiting for a Regional Manager vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a leadership level in a division that drives the business forwards through providing a best in class 24/7 instrument reprocessing service to our customers. The region to cover is the ‘South’ which includes Salisbury, Chessington, three sites across London, Guildford, and others as the business continues to grow. This is a remote worker position but you will be expected to spend a large portion of your time with your teams in your region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- To promote and deliver senior level customer relationship management across the Region
- To lead the site managers and their teams to develop the potential of the business to a market leading level.
- To develop the site managers and their teams to sustainably provide high levels of service to our customers.
- To provide operational leadership across the region, implementing, monitoring and developing STERIS’s standard operating procedures and utilising all associated data analytics.
- To provide leadership in the relationship with, and strategic development of, the customers within the region.
- To introduce new sterile service and instrument repair business and customers into STERIS’s Sterile Services units within the region
- To work with the wider STERIS team to ensure that the highest levels of quality are provided to our Customers and to promote a culture of innovation and best-practice at all times.
- The leadership of managers and their teams, to ensure the highest levels of service standards, implementing innovation and best practice at all times
- Measurement of the business’ performance against contractual and legislative standards and targets, holding site management to account as appropriate
- Development of plans with site teams to achieve and surpass the Region’s operational standards and financial targets; to meet and exceed customers’ expectations and requirements
- Ensuring all reporting requirements are met within the required timescales
- Participating in setting and agreeing the annual budget and monitoring performance against the financial plan with the Regional Accountant and identifying corrective action where required

- Responsible for the appropriate management of Health & Safety items and the necessary reporting of incidents, including meeting RIDDOR reporting requirements.
- Identification of and active support to the BD team for the development of the service and further business opportunities within both existing customer services and locations and new business.
- Appraisal of all direct reports and development of associated Personal Development Plans (PDPs) as required
- To ensure that at each site there is appointed a Management Representative for the site in accordance with ISO9001(2000) and ISO13485.

Required Experience
Preferred Experience
- Proven experience working in a senior management position and, preferably, working in a sterile services environment
- Experience of managing a contract and budget in a commercial environment
- Experience of implementing service delivery improvement and service rationalisation
- Project management experience
- Experience of quality systems and auditing procedures
- Detailed knowledge of decontamination legislation relating to the reprocessing of re-usable medical devices ·
- Ability to understand, interpret and resolve complex decontamination contract issues
