Position Summary
The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Laboratory staff and workflow to meet Customer and Regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do as a Laboratory Supervisor I
- Supervises workflow and technical staff in execution of Laboratory testing, in support of regulatory and quality system compliance to meet Customer specifications.
- Mentors and develops staff for future opportunities.
- Provides regular feedback to staff on performance.
- Ensures purchasing of laboratory supplies meets departmental needs and approves purchase requisitions.
- Identifies operational opportunities for improvement to efficiency, quality and/or cost.
- Participates in the interview process for open positions, makes recommendations for hiring.
- Evaluates procedures and executes Document Change Orders.
- Initiates and executes Quality System Investigations, Customer Dissatisfactions and Corrective actions as required by procedure.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
Pay range for this opportunity is $74,162.50 - $95,975.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
