Position Summary

Provide project management and technical consulting resource for microbial reduction services and technology to satisfy Customer requirements.

Duties

  1. Manages and delivers technical support for dose validation, experimentation, product evaluation and general technical inquiries for new and continuing Customers through direct Customer contact.
  2. Applies strategies and tactics necessary to meet overall organizational objectives relative to dosimetry practices.
  3. Functions as liaison between QS/RC, Marketing and Operations and coordinates the appropriate projects to ensure Customer requirements for new applications as well as current application reviews and inquiries are satisfied.
  4. Ensures “best practices” and leading-edge technical knowledge, relative to dose setting, is maintained for the Technical Services function and Operations. This will be accomplished through both formal and informal networking, continuous research utilizing all available resources and the organized dissemination of relevant information to affected individuals throughout STERIS.
  5. Develops a visible corporate presence through establishing and maintaining an active role with the appropriate professional committees.
  6. Coordinates processes and activities with appropriate laboratory resources.

7. Maintains professional skills, knowledge and abilities by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.

8. Communicates in an effective manner by utilizing accepted business practices in a courteous and professional manner providing timely and accurate responses and service oriented offers of assistance.

9.Provides protection to employees by promoting personal protection and issuing monitoring devices in hazard areas as required by safety rules.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  1. A minimum of five (5) years experience in radiation operations, engineering, and/or cycle development medical device or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated project management.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years experience with FDA and/or ISO in a strong Customer focus environment.
  3. Requires ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English.
  4. Requires ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
  5. Requires computer skills and word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities.
  6. Requires effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior management experience.
  7. Above average organizing, analyzing and Level 5 math skills (advanced algebra and/or calculus and/or statistics) to determine organizational, Customer and regulatory problems and formulate corrective action plans and /or solutions; attention to detail.
  8. Able to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
  9. Able to influence people in the opinions, attitude or judgments; to generalize, evaluate and decide; to adapt to situations under stress.
  10. Requires normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.
