Position Summary

The Laboratory Customer Support Specialist is responsible for providing Laboratory information to Customers. Serves as point and liaison between the Customers, Lab, Tech Team and Sales.

This position works Monday to Friday 7:30 am-3:30p,. The starting pay is $18 an hour with bonus potential.

Duties

 

  • Answers Customer phone calls and manages Lab e-mail accounts, coordinating answers with SME and responding promptly to inquiries. 40% - 50%
  • Communicates On-Hold items to Customers for resolution. 10% - 20%
  • Generates Customer price quotations in collaboration with Sales. 5% - 10%
  • Assists with Lab database corrections. 5% -10%
  • Provides STERIS Tech Teams with regular status updates on current projects including test statuses, preliminary results, etc. 5% - 10%
  • Fills Supply Orders. 5% - 10%
  • Tracks and reports turnaround time information 1% - 5%

Required Experience

  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proven Customer focus.
  • Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, Customers, personnel, regulatory or notified body entities.
  • Ability to work well with others.

 

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree
