The completion of all production tasks including, but not limited to, packing and boxing, the running of packaging machinery and to deputise for the Supervisor when required.


Learning Period


Approximately 3 months

Essential Job Functions


  1. To manufacture product to standard operating procedures.


  1. To train new people to the required standard


  1. To ensure that the work place is kept clean and tidy at all times.


  1. To deputise for the supervisor when required to do so.


  1. To be aware of the requirements of the organisation’s Quality Assurance systems and take responsibility for all its obligations updating any out of date, incorrect or ineffectual processes by the correct means.


  1. To represent the Company image as being one of high integrity at all times when representing the Company both internally and externally and behave in a manner both on and off duty befitting the Company image and standards.


  1. To undertake training / personal development to enable competent performance of all relevant tasks.


  1. Duties across Production include: Inspection, Packing, labelling, operating guillotine and other machinery as required.


  1. Any other duties which can reasonably be expected of the post holder given their knowledge, skills and experience.


Health and Safety

It is the responsibility of every employee to comply with both Company Health and Safety Regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times.


Working Conditions


Working on the shop floor in a manufacturing environment with computer use, the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn (PPE provided includes clothing, caps and safety shoes / boots) at all times, other PPE to be worn as appropriate and required.


Role requires standing and sitting as each sub work area dictates.




Educated to a GCSE standard or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate working at this level.

Previous Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.

The ability to read, understand and complete quality documentation.

Accuracy/Attention to detail

Team player.

Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach.


Nature of Problem Solving


The post holder would be expected to demonstrate effective problem solving skills related to general manufacturing tasks & equipment.
