This commercial role is responsible for overseeing and managing the business Tenders and Customer Contracts/Price Agreements for all Capital Chemistry and Software products. This is a crucial role that combines both administrative excellence with a commercial acumen. You will be at the heart of the company’s operation in helping the business reach its Capital sales targets working closely with Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Marketing, Sales Support Teams, Finance and RA/QA.

Duties

The duties of this role include:

Take responsibility for all IPT Consumables product tender and pricing submissions.
Prepare proposal documents in response to tenders as well as daily business/deals
Liaise with Tenders & Contracts Manager – Consumables on the submission of Tenders to ensure a joined-up approach that is consistent with our  "Customer First" ethos for customers
Produce Complete financial analyses of business cases/deals to enable the development of profitable, competitive tenders and price proposals.  Support the in-field sales team by visiting customers and key accounts on-site to support bids/presentations to win new business

Manage the IPT Consumables pipeline document and provide updates weekly to Senior Management
Manage contract-related issues/queries by developing strong relationships with NHS & Private Hospital procurement leads/buyers.  Build and manage successful relationships with key partners and suppliers to enable STERIS to offer market leading tender and contract solutions.
Develop and manage relationships (including face to face meetings) with key framework customers such as:
National Procurement Organizations such as  NHS SC, NHS Scotland, etc
Private Sector Group Purchasing Organizations such as  BMI, Ramsay, Nuffield, Spire, HCA, Bunzl.
Regional Procurement Hubs including HealthTrust Europe, Shared Business Services, North of England Procurement, etc
Liaise closely with STERIS legal team to ensure contract proposals are compliant with STERIS' ways of working and once awarded, that service level agreement compliance and timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations

Required Experience

  • Strong commercial experience with knowledge of finance, regulatory and compliance relating to the Medical Device industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a Business-related subject or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the Medical Device Industry
