The International Distribution Specialist will be an expert on international product deployment to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective shipping of finished goods globally. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by working with customer service, central planning, trafficking and freight forwarders. You will also maintain appropriate record keeping and provide effective liaisons with carriers, freight forwarders, and governmental agencies. You will work in a brand new, extremely clean environment with a highly collaborative team in a medium sized manufacturing/distribution plant that is part of a larger global company.

This role actively sits and works on the distribution center floor in full motion of day-to-day activities for the area. 

Duties

• Responsible for organizing shipments and completion of international documentation for international customer shipments and distribution center transfers.

• Provide and train material handlers on proper packaging and documentation procedures for finished goods shipments to international customers.

• Work with customer service, distribution centers, and freight forwarders on consolidation orders to ensure customer requirements are met. 

• Serve as distribution center expert in International shipping regulations, assess impact regarding products, and take action to ensure shipping compliance with these regulations.

• Maintain proper shipping documentation on international shipments for required length of time.

• Create and authorize standard international shipping and receiving work instructions.

• Responsible for liaisons with freight forwarders and trafficking to establish total customer satisfaction. • Other duties as assigned.

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED in General Studies

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in international shipping.

• Must have demonstrated knowledge of Free Trade Agreements.

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Experience working in Oracle, SAP or other supply chain software.

• Experience with domestic shipping helpful

 Pay range for this opportunity is $34,000.00 - $47,512.50. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
