As our Project Manager - EMEA you will facilitate the delivery of world class service to our Customers by managing the delivery of complex regional projects by working closely with stakeholders across all areas of the business, including operations, quality and finance. Projects will span across multiple facilities and technologies across AST EMEA region ranging up to approximately $3m in capital spend.

You will be responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle - from initiation, planning executing, monitoring and closing.

As our Project Manager you will continuously contribute to the STERIS values and business imperatives and ensure these are embraced by the project team.

Please note:  This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will require regular travel across Europe

WHAT WILL YOU BEING DOING AS A PROJECT MANAGER

1.    Define project goals, objectives and scope in line with business strategy
2.    Review and find the best way to fulfil project goals and objectives
3.    Assemble and manage cross-functional project teams, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
4.    Identification of internal and external project stakeholders, management of communication with all stakeholders
5.    Plan and allocate resources needed to deliver projects
6.    Generate and manage project documentation as required e.g. project definition document
7.    Create and continuously update project plans 
8.    Identify, assess and monitor project risks, manage appropriately
9.    Manage external suppliers to deliver projects including finding suitable suppliers, managing scope of work, supervising supplier performance, ensuring quality management requirements are met and managing supplier purchase orders and invoices .
10.    Accountable for preparing, requesting, and supervising project budget, capital investments and expenses in conjunction with operational and finance teams
11.    Collect and monitor project progress to ensure continuous improvement 
12.    Utilise appropriate validation documentation, industry best practices and standards throughout entire project execution, as required, e.g.GAMP5, project management methodologies
13.    Measure project performance against KPI’s at project close-out to define success and identify areas for improvement.

WHAT WILL YOU REQUIRE FOR THE ROLE?

1.    Educated to degree level
2.    Project management experience
3.    Certified project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2/PMP desirable 
4.    Awareness of quality management and documentation.
5.    Good understanding of the principle of continuous improvement.
6.    Proven leadership qualities (leading by example).
7.    High degree of trust, integrity and honesty.
8.    Self-starter
9.    Acute awareness of the importance of safety to the business.
10.    Willing to go the extra mile for our Customers (Customer First, always).
11.    Well-developed understanding of risk and risk avoidance.
12.    Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
13.    Good understanding of technology and innovation
14.    Able to remain calm under pressure and make rational decisions.
15.    Excellent ability of promoting Team activities across STERIS organization.
16.    Attention to detail.
