We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Marketing vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a level in a division that drives the business forwards through innovation, of leading capital equipment products.

The main focus of this role is to drive the Endoscopy Capital Equipment product range forward, working closely with the sales function, developing and growing the STERIS brand in the Healthcare market. It is a varied role and will include Providing Voice of Customer input into product requirements for the European markets.  Reviewing competitive product offerings to identify product gaps that need closing, and working with Product Management to develop a 3/5-year vision for a product line and the strategies and tactics to implement that vision.


  • Facilitate idea generation for new products and provide commercial input into the development process.
  • Coordinate the evaluation of all new product opportunities in order to assess their financial strength before being formalized as part of the Product Development Roadmap.
  • Responsible for market development and product training to achieve specific portfolio sales and marketing objectives.
  • The Commercial Marketing Manager will be instrumental in helping the field sales team differentiate STERIS solutions by having a deep understanding of the target customer
  • Guide the development of comprehensive programs to include: print, digital, web, advertising campaigns, social media campaigns and education.
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan as part of the strategic planning process to ensure increased market presence and share together with associated sales growth within a specific portfolio segment.

  • Work closely with related Marketing colleagues and Sales Managers to integrate combined activities across related segments to support education and promotional initiatives focused on driving synergy and growth across Healthcare.
  • Determine market needs, develop business plans and strategic objectives, create product specifications and determine product positioning, utilizing various market research methods.
  • Attend industry functions and coordinate key opinion leaders activity as appropriate.
  • Provides commercial input into new product development programs on the five year global product road map for the UK Market.
  • Gathers and analyzes information on competitive product offerings and technologies, determines competitive strategies and tactics and communicates the information to field sales
  • Analyzes sales and marketing data to determine trends and market share
  • Regularly interacts with customers through site visits, showroom presentations, professional societies and tradeshow activities to understand our portfolio positioning.
  • Develops and delivers sales training programs that allow for easy assimilation of product knowledge, enhance sales skills and increase knowledge of competitive product positioning
  • Provides prompt, comprehensive field support regarding application and use of products on a daily basis
  • Work with Marketing Communications to help guide the development of comprehensive marketing programs to include: print, digital, web, advertising campaigns, social media campaigns and education
  • Develops creative, winning sales and customer promotional incentives to support sales and marketing objectives


  • Requires 3-5 years marketing experience within the healthcare environment or experience of the Infection Prevention sector within a hospital or outsourced solutions provider.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns utilizing all relevant channels and media, while aligning marketing strategy with business goals
  • Bachelors degree in relevant field
