Position Summary

To manage, support and develop the business associated with the sales, clinical support, promotion and distribution of STERIS Consumables products only which require to be in line with the company policy within the designated territory(s).


1. Achieve sales and profit objectives set at the beginning of Financial Year.

2. Develop strategy plan and maximise all sales opportunities for sales within Vietnam for the whole STERIS portfolio (Infection prevention Consumables brands and future acquisitions).

3. Plan and manage direct customers and other relevant sales outlets in the territory.

4. Establish and maintain solid relationships with local KOL/VIP. Ensure high customer satisfaction through personal contact and correspondence.

5. Able to engage customers in providing related clinical education and guiding the users to use the consumables properly on the equipment and in process.

6. Identify our customer’s needs and requirements with assistance from various departments within the company. Collaborate with other Departments within STERIS (such as Marketing, Service, Education…) to facilitate STERIS capital equipment customers to use STERIS consumables.

7.  Conduct business analysis for products and markets relevant to resource allocation and brand strategy.  Develop database of market researchs to always provide accurate market data of competitor information and  market demand trend.

8. Manage any infrequent customer and/or product complaints in a professional manner.  Evaluate and find out the cause of the complaint and take appropriate action to address the problems to be issue.

9. Check the local tender websites for tender of the product distributed by the Company and assist dealers with tender documents for tender processes and safeguarding of business information.

10. Implement and monitor local marketing events. Create marketing documents and/or promotional materials adapted and developed for local needs (Newsletter, Documents, leaflets, etc….)

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED in Healthcare or Biological Science

Required Experience

  1. An experienced sales professional with a background and knowledge in medical products (Ideally hospital environment such as operating theatre, Central Sterile Supply Department, consumables related business) with at least two years experience.
  2. Previous experience in handling dealers / distributors will be an advantage.

Skills and / or Competencies

  1. A good recognized tertiary education, strong computer and presentation skills.
  2. Engertic, driven and self motivated in achieving sales target
  3. Open-minded, adaptable, organized, honest, accountable, result-oriented and good team-player.
  4. Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage own time effectively.
  5. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and managerial skills.
  6. The ability to travel for prolonged periods of time when necessary. 
  7. Fluency in English is a potential advantage (dependent upon territory(s)) but not essential.

Travel required 50%
