We are currently recruiting an IT System Administrator in Heatherton, Victoria. You will be responsible for providing end to end support for all STERIS’ Information Technology systems & software for both business systems and technical infrastructure within corporate/non corporate facilities. You will contribute to IT projects for system installation and rollout, liaise between the corporate IT department and local/global management teams to ensure adherence to standards.

What You Will Do

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining business system applications, interfaces, local and wide area networks, telephone and voice messaging systems, servers, and workstations.
• Support the Microsoft stack within STERIS maintaining uptime for our customers/users.
• Assist database administrators in troubleshooting client/server environments.
• Handling all user onboarding and offboarding requirements from an IT perspective.
• Collaborating with corporate and APAC IT teams, ensuring IT support meets business objectives, and contributing to hardware and software evaluations.
• Promptly reporting incidents like virus outbreaks and LAN/WAN outages, troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• Use of the Service-Desk software, and support of common peripherals, printers, mobile phones, drives, associated software.
• Writes product requirement documents, tracks development timelines, negotiates feature sets with the development leads and product vendors.
• Engages fully and actively participates in the STERIS Zero Trust cybersecurity project, working alongside site managers, IT Site Managers and where required the Service Desk Manager to manage threats and maintain a secure environment for our customers and our users.
• Participate in business activities such as Lean Events and productivity improvements, supporting remote facilities and working with local resources for initiatives like cost control and facilities management.

Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Strong knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers
• Working knowledge of Intune and Microsoft AutoPilot technologies
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust security principles, some experience of CrowdStrike, Z-Scaler, etc.
• Proficient in network administration, troubleshooting, and security
• May be required to travel to other STERIS sites periodically to provide onsite support services
