Summary

Manage assigned sales territory (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian) and dealers to facilitate achievement of company sales and profit objectives. Develop the capital market in the responsible provinces and significantly improve STERIS medical device market share and market presence, particularly in Surgical market. Work closely with Service Team and Consumables Team on keeping a good relationship to VIP customer and help consumables team and service to have more recurrent revenue. Manage dealers and distributors to sell STERIS products to Healthcare customers within assigned sales territory. Ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain sound relationship with dealers through corre spondence and/or personal contact. Identify and specify business opportunities for future STERIS products (Surgical and IPT), markets, and new applications for current products and technology.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, yearly sales revenue and gross margin for assigned sales territory through the management of dealers / distributors in the assigned territories. Manage time, travel, and sales activities to maximize effectiveness on a monthly basis. Identify top prospect projects and opportunities to focus on activities effectively each month.
  2. Maintain sound dealer relations through timely response to dealer inquire via accurate and timely communication and report to your manager via email or message on the same day. Evaluate non-routine complaints from customers and dealers, follow through to determine source of complaint, and take appropriate action to ensure that problems are corrected and do not recur. Assist in recruitment of distributors within the territory and develop distributor sales force through the use of programs/information communications, as well as group training sessions. Work closely with the dealers/distributors and management in developing ideas and programs to deal with changing market conditions.
  3. Ensure maximum customer support is provided by distributors within the assigned sales territory through overview management of the sales, customer service and field service functions within each market. Work with Field Service team to coordinate site installations.
  4. Collect the competitors’ information and market demand trend, working with Key Opinion leader in the industry, participating in the local congress or medical show along with dealers to promote STERIS products and branding.
  5. Responsible for timely, accurate reporting of weekly and monthly sales and marketing measurements, to include forecasts. Submit all the work reports as required by company within the required time limit, including but was not limited in weekly reports, monthly reports, sales forecasts, business plan, win and lost report, market sharing data and etc.
  6. Comply with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies.
  7. His/her attitude and behavior reinforce company policies and programs by exhibiting and expecting the highest standards of performance and professional conduct. Undertakes and defines a program of self-development.
  8. Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.

    Education/License Requirements

    Bachelor or college’s degree or above in Medical Science/Electronics/Mechanical.

     

    Experience Requirements

    Minimum five years documented technical sales experience in the medical equipments/pharmaceutical / biotech / research industry; prior regional related sales experience preferred.

     

    Specific Skills and/or Business Competencies

    Be able to read, write and speak English and Mandarin Chinese.

    High energy level and able be to travel frequently

    High degree of interpersonal skills and have good sales track record.

    Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage own time effectively.

    Good working attitude. Positive, proactive and customer service manner with externally and internally.

    Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

    A good team-player.

    Result oriented.

     

    Working Conditions

    Extensive use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment as required. Position also requires extensive travel throughout the Territories.  Position is based in Guangzhou, China.
