Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the maintenance department that effectively utilizes resources to maintain in good conditions all the machinery, plant facilities and equipment in a productive manner. Coordinates and supervises maintenance personnel and activities related to maintaining and repairing physical systems of the building, machinery and other devices through corrective and preventive maintenance programs, inspects facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance, prepares weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work, recruiting and training maintenance technicians
Duties
- Responsible to implement a corrective maintenance program in all the production machines and equipment in an efficient manner that would allow a better utilization of these assets of the company.
- Coordinates preventive maintenance excecution in the most critical machines as CNC and presses machines, focused to minimize the down time in these equipment.
- Performs post failure analisys and provides information to maintenance planner to modify preventive maintenance activities
- Supervises, plans, and administers department activities providing a safe work environment
- Administers company policies, work rules, and procedures and addresses issues
- Maintain Maintenance Work Order system and generate work orders for all maintenance requests for the machinery, facilities or equipment.
- Support all Company Quality Policies including ISO 9001, FDA, Safety Regulations, OSHA and ASME codes.
- Generates a daily report showing the most critical machines and equipment down.
- Supervises Maintenance group leaders and technicians.
- Get in contact with suppliers to check services and spare parts
- Continuos follow up with purchasing or suppliers for the spare parts and services
- Performs monthly accountability meetings with management and other team members
- Create, perform and execute reports from the CMMS information, validates reliability of the information
- Active participation of the SAFETY, CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENT and TRAINING initiatives, which include but are not limited to: A3 Certification and projects, STOP Observations, Monthly Safety Audits, SQDC board maintenance, upgrade and administration of KPI for the area, propose and execute CIP (Cost Improvement Projects), maintenance of LSW sheet, upgrade and maintenance of initiatives using Dploy system.
Education Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General
Required Experience
1.Three (3) to five (5) years experience in CNC and robotic machines
2.Three (1) to two (2) years experience in facilities/plant maintenance experience.
3.Must be capable of controlling several projects and problems simultaneously.
4.Two (3) to five (5) years experience in manufacturing in metal mechanical processes.
5.Three (3) to three (3) years of supervisory experience.
6.Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility, e.g. such as CNC, Robots, Electronic, Electrical, and Mechanic.
