Position Summary
Responsible to act as manufacturing liaison and coordinate all activities affecting the introduction of new products into the manufacturing cycle. Participates in product design, develops overall product cost and coordinates strategies to improve it. Control manufacturing schedule for each phase, coordinates design implementation in plant, and indentifies obstacles and strategies to meet milestones. Implement evidence for each phase and controls expenses for project implementation.
Duties
- Lead products development based on Advanced Planning Product Process, using project management skills.
- Receives, analyze, give feedback, approve, and rapidly implement design changes for new products.
- Coordinates design implementation and updates product BOM and Structure inside MRP system.
- Develops Product Cost and updates it in each project phase.
- Establishes the standard cost for the full product.
- Develops, improves and communicates manufacturing schedules, generates manufacturing plans for key deliveries such as prototypes, pilot runs and pre-production phases.
- Provide floor support during the manufacturing cycle about concerns of the design, and updates design specifications to the R&D team.
- Provide cross functional follow up until completion of the specific activities in the APQP for the whole process
- Identifies local team efficiency/roadblcks and develops improvement strategies.
- Coordinates local team for product implementation.
- Communicates advances to Management team in a weekly basis.
- Generates capital request for manufacturing infrastructure and controls the expense of the project.
Education Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General
Required Experience
- Three years experience in manufacturing engineering disciplines, with progressively more responsibility.
- Must be technically knowledgeable to Good Manufacturing Practices relating to machines, metal forming, metal joining, and assembly.
- Experience with Pro-Engineer (Pro-E) and AutoCAD preferred.
- Experience working in engineering and/or manufacturing of medical equipment.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge related to Electromechanical and Electrical devices.
- Effective interpersonal to interact with cross-functional team members.
- Demonstrated experience in APQP and core tools, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, process mapping.
- Experience in MRP, BOM, and product structure.
- Skilled at use of Gantt Charts, Schedules, reports and presentations to Management.
