Position Summary

Coordinate efforts for the maintenance of machinery, plant facilities and equipment in a productive manner. Supervise maintenance supervisors and planner and review with them activities related to maintaining and repairing physical systems of the facility through corrective, planned & preventive maintenance programs. Supervise repair and maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment installed in these buildings. Ensure timely installation and upkeep of the company’s property and systems to ensure operational effectiveness. Delegates to their subordinates common tasks and is directly involved in administrative activities like maintenance budgeting and contract negotiations

Duties

  1. Responsible to implement corrective maintenance program in all production machines and equipment in an efficient manner that would allow a minimum damage in machine efficiency in the shop floor. Escalate critical issues in the plant to higher levels.
  2. Manages maintenance projects and coordinates repair to the facilities.
  3. Direct the preventive maintenance program in the most critical machines inside CNC, Sheet metal, Pressure welding and assembly areas, through the system in used focused to minimize the down time in this equipment.
  4. Develop maintenance teams through identifying opportunity areas and providing specific tasks to improve, search & select specific training for the team.
  5. Supervises, plan and manage department activities providing a safe work environment in the facility and plan, execute & control budget.
  6. Maintain and manage work order system to all the request of service for machinery, facilities or equipment, giving fast response to the plant issues.
  7. Follow up of repairs with external suppliers.
  8. Prepares necessary information to show in audits according with the good practices in maintenance.
  9. Main support/advisor in all related to the Quality System and the regulations applicable to the site. (IS0 9001; ISO 13485; MDSAP; FDA 21 CFR Part 820, PED and ASME).
  10. Review safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials.
  11. Evaluate, assess and modify maintenance procedures and policies.
  12. Review new alternatives for spare parts & service suppliers.
  13. Review & Analize performance of current suppliers for spare parts & service.

 

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  1. Experience in manufacturing environment: 8 - 10 years
  2. Leading professional and technical employees as part of a team: 8 - 10 years
  3. Programming maintenance for CNC and robotic machines: 5 years
  4. Working within a maintenance manufacturing environment: 5 years

Preferred Experience

  1. Bilingual
  2. Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility, e.g. such as CNC, Robots, Electronic, Electrical, and Mechanic.
  3. Capable of controlling several projects and problems simultaneously, giving follow up to the end of task. 
  4. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and meet broad objectives. 
  5. Ability to identify and facilitate complex solutions in the area of expertise.
  6. Ability to effectively communicate and obtain the cooperation of others.
  7. Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively with little supervision
