Position Summary

Responsible for identifying and winning new business through key account management and prospecting for new business.

Develop a knowledge and understanding of trends in medical device, pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries and buying/sourcing practices of our current and potential Customers.

Responsible for the assessment of test requirements, methods, Customer specifications and information supplied in conjunction with other team members to ensure that every Customer project is managed and delivered successfully.

Position is a technical sales role.

This position is a permanent contract.

Duties

  • Understand Customers’ requirements and devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.
  • Meet with existing customers and potential Customers to create further awareness of the STERIS service offering.
  • Utilise Salesforce CRM system to track opportunities.
  • Supports the STERIS team with problem solving and training activities.
  • Liaise with other divisions to help create continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support marketing and outreach programs.
  • Report on sales activity.
  • Keep familiar with current industry standards and requirements (e.g. ISO 11607, MDR, IEC 60601 etc).
  • Attends national trade shows, conferences, event functions as necessary.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business
  • Associate's Degree

Required Experience

  • Degree level or equivalent in relevant subject or demonstrable relevant business experience.
  • Ability to influence across functions across STERIS and across companies to achieve objective.
  • Must be able to network internally across all functions and externally with Customer organisations and other service providers.
  • Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the business and able to work with counterparts within STERIS globally to achieve business objectives.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to project manage.
