Position Summary:

As the Regional Sales Manager, you are primarily accountable for managing the sales and functions of Key Surgical U.S. Territories. The primary goal is to increase the company’s revenues through effective sales programs, and to establish and strengthen Key Surgical relationships with its Customers through excellent customer service and communication. You will have direct supervisory responsibility for the Sales Representative(s) and Training Lead(s) in your assigned region and segment. You are also required to stay informed of the changing needs of our Customers and communicate these needs to the company to facilitate the timely introduction of new products.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain a highly trained and motivated sales workforce by providing an environment where department employees can excel, and ensure that all direct reports follow the operating procedures and work instructions relating to their assigned responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and develop staff; evaluate employee performance; and recommend or initiate employment status changes for team
  • Responsible for U.S. sales in assigned region and segment: sales directly to hospitals and surgery centers, sales through distributors and dealers, and sales to new market segments such as dental and veterinary customers
  • Identify potential customers
  • Communicate current and accurate information to Customers and Management Team personnel
  • Understand and comply with the Key Surgical quality system and understand the impact the position has on both the customer and quality
  • Ensure that positive Customer feedback is shared with Key Surgical and that all constructive Customer feedback is properly documented and reported 
  • Recognize nonconforming product and services, and properly follow the disposition process, including initiating any action necessary to prevent or correct the nonconformity
  • Listen and respond to Customer comments including complaints, and reporting them to the Quality Team
  • Communicate customer requirements to other Key Surgical personnel 
  • Provide feedback to the Management Team to continuously improve the quality of products and services
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned and required
  • Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude and actively contributing to the growth and success of Key Surgical

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong sales and/or marketing experience 
  • Medical or healthcare industry experience required; Endoscopy experience preferred
  • Ability to travel 15-20%; this position will require travel associated with trade shows and industry meetings as well as travel in the field with Sales Representatives
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Solid organizational and presentation skills 
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
