Position Summary

As a Regional Sales Manager for the Reprocessing Consumable business, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance sales team to effectively drive strategic business objectives. This position is also responsible for executing the policies and programs to achieve objectives for market share, distribution, and sales of products through appropriate markets (distributors, healthcare organizations, purchasing groups, etc.). The Regional Sales Manager assists in the development of sales goals, monitors results achieved, and initiates actions to achieve the attainment of established objectives.

 

This is an onsite position based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  This Regional Sales Manager will be managing the East Coast sales team.  

What you will do as a Regional Sales Manager

•    Create an atmosphere of Customer orientation within the region.  Ensures Customer needs are communicated and interpreted into all facets of organizational structure.
•    Facilitate the development and expansion of the region’s business by developing and nurturing strategic relationships and associations in the healthcare industry.
•    Develop and executes both short and long range sales plans in their region, in conjunction with Senior Management, to ensure profitability and growth.
•    Achieve / exceed all revenue, gross margin and focus product targets for the region.
•    Develop and clearly communicate business strategies, measures of success and accountabilities.
•    Build and maintain a high-performance sales team to effectively drive the strategic business objectives.
•    Create an environment which encourages self-development, creative thinking and problem solving. Assures the success of the individual in the organization through sponsorship.
•    Ensure members of the sales team are meeting objectives and driving Customer satisfaction.  Recognize and reward team members appropriately.
•    Monitor and report market trends to appropriate STERIS employees and implements appropriate region sales and marketing strategies to capitalize on all opportunities.
•    Assist the AVP in developing and managing the Zone’s business.
•    Provide timely and accurate unit and revenue forecasts.
•    Approve pricing levels within the parameters established in the pricing policy guidelines.
•    Manage region business within budgeted expense levels.
•    Assure the expense portions of profitability are within budgets and guidelines established.
•    Help identify the key business implications or changes in existing processes, programs and priorities.
•    Continually analyze and revise critical success factors for the business.
•    Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with internal support functions of the organization by consistently sharing information, responsibilities, decision-making and recognition with others in support of the common purpose – Customer satisfaction.
•    Network with Industry leaders, corporate partners, and key influencers within area or responsibility.
•    Drive process improvement and effectiveness while respond to Customers without loss of quality.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required 
•    Bachelor’s degree required (Business or Marketing preferred)
•    Five (5) years of demonstrated successful Sales experience   
•    Two (2) years of demonstrated people leadership skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and influence a team of sales professionals. 
•    Must meet and remain compliant with hospital/Customer credentialing requirements.
•    Capable of traveling up to 30% of the time by various modes of transport including plane or car, including overnight trips, occasionally with short notice.
•    Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred 
•    Three years STERIS Sales preferred

Pay rate for this opportunity is $126,000. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $189,000.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
