Position Summary

The Production Specialist is responsible for meeting the production output, productivity, and quality compliance requirements of the Production department. This position will stay informed of and be properly trained on current processes, product quality standards, and production procedures in order to efficiently and accurately produce and package Key Surgical products.

 

The Senior Production Specialist works with the Production Supervisor to ensure accurate and productive execution of manufacturing jobs to fulfill daily orders, safety stock, and backorder needs.  This is achieved through training of production personnel, prioritizing and assigning manufacturing orders, and suggesting and implementing processes changes as needed.  The Senior Production Specialist also contributes to the accurate control of inventory through execution of cycle counts and investigation of inventory discrepancies which may tie to manufacturing orders. 

Duties

Set a good example of behavior and performance by treating others with respect and performing all tasks to the best of your ability. Contact the Operations Management team to address concerns about behavior
Recognize product nonconformities and alert the production leadership team immediately
Understand and comply with the Key Surgical quality system and understanding the impact the position has on both the customer and quality
Ensure accurate inventory control by properly handling and accounting for products and materials used in the production process by using WoW and GP
Perform inventory cycle counts as assigned
Follow proper material handling procedures to ensure damage to product does not occur
Operate equipment required by the production process, including powered material handling equipment, autobaggers, and WithoutWire scanners
Confirm product information including product labeling for jobs being worked
Complete training in GAS by assigned due date
Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude and actively contribute to the growth and success of Key Surgical
Seek clarification from the applicable leaders when questions or issues arise
Perform other related tasks as assigned and required by applicable Senior Production Specialists/Supervisors/Managers

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

Experience in an FDA regulated, or ISO certified production environment preferred

Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English

Ability to accurately perform basic mathematics

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision; including multi-step directions

Ability to use equipment as required by the production process, including powered material handling equipment

Ability to lift 35 pounds

Ability to be flexible and adapt to varied work requirements

Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and departments

Able to wear and work efficiently in required Personal Protective Equipment and apparel

Possess a strong attention to detail

Self-Driven
