Position Summary

Meets the production output, productivity, and quality compliance requirements of the Production department. Assembles and packages products in a fast-paced self-driven production environment, using manual equipment, while maintaining quality and safety standards. 

What You'll Do

  • Proficient with use of handheld WMS functions required for picking, inventory look-up, and other assigned tasks.
  • Perform various packaging and assembly operations according to safety standards, quality standards, and production needs.
  • Access and follow standard operating procedures/work instructions required to complete manufacturing orders.
  • Ensure manufacturing orders are properly completed per standard operating procedures/work instructions.
  • Verify item number, description, lot codes, and expiration dates on label according to the Work Instruction.
  • Accurately document information to track production quantities, lot numbers, rejected parts, and final raw material quantity.
  • Recognize nonconforming material and initiate any action necessary to prevent or correct the nonconformity.
  • Restock basic supply materials as needed.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of processes and/or steps leading to the accomplishment of results.
  • Understand and comply with company quality system processes with an understand of the impact the position has on both the customer and quality.
  • Identify need for equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in Lean processes, including but not limited to, updating hour by hour boards, tracking production data, leading 5S audits, and using basic lean tools.
  • Always ensure safe operation by wearing proper PPE, reporting and/or correcting safety concerns, and look for ways to improve quality, safety, and efficiency to support continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Abilities, and Experience

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year experience working in a Key Surgical/STERIS or other highly regulated assembly, packaging, chemical, manufacturing, or relevant fast paced environment preferred.
  • One year material handling experience preferred (i.e., powered equipment, WAV, pallet jack)
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, diagrams, and quality check sheets.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written procedures to ensure product and packaging meets required specifications.
  • Detail oriented with ability to identify items against descriptions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while staying focused on achieving goals related to safety, quality, and delivery/customer needs.
  • Able to run manual and powered pallet lift and restock materials as needed.
  • Promote cooperation and commitment within a team environment.
  • Experience with STERIS is strongly preferred.

Pay range for this opportunity is $17.37 - $22.47. [ACTION REQUIRED - REMOVE IF NOT APPLICABLE:] This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
