Job Title:  International Order Fulfillment Specialist

Position Summary

SME on international product deployment; ensures safe, timely and cost-effective shipping of finished goods globally. Works with Customer Service, Operations, and freight forwarders to ensure high level of Customer satisfaction. Familiar with international shipping documentation following regulations, maintains proper record keeping, and effectively liaises with carriers, freight forwarders and governmental agencies.

Duties

1. Proficient with use of handheld WMS functions required for picking, inventory look-up, stocking and other assigned tasks.
2. Responsible for picking and packing products as well as the completion of international documentation for international Customer shipments and distribution center transfers.
3. Proficient with various shipping systems & software (FedEx, UPS, etc.) including ability to launch and close out systems for the day.
4. Performs final inspection on orders to ensure accuracy of part numbers, quantities, traceability, and shipping information.
5. Effectively load, block, and brace LTL/FTL trucks and containers ensure minimal product movement or damage during transport.
6. Trained to prepare and load pallets for ground shipments.
7. Lead and provide training to Order Fulfillment Specialists & Material Handlers on proper packaging and documentation procedures for finished goods shipments.
8. Collaborates well with Customer Service, distribution centers, and freight forwarders on consolidation orders to ensure Customer requirements are met.
9. Responsible for staying current on international shipping regulations & compliance needs and working with Order Fulfillment and Regulatory leadership to implement key learnings.
10. Maintain proper shipping documentation on international shipments for required length of time.
11. Complete container/truckload inspection and documentation in compliance with the C-TPAT (Customs, Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) certification program.

1. Create and authorize international shipping and receiving work instructions.
2. Liaise with freight forwarders and trafficking to establish total Customer satisfaction.
3. Assist with domestic freight order quotes and scheduling using contracted carriers and/or customer preferred carrier.
4. Maintain proficiency in Order Fulfillment competencies to fill in on domestic picking/packing teams as needed.
5. Trained on loading and unloading offsite trucks ensuring inventory is processed to the correct site
6. Restock inventory as needed during pick process or as backup to material handler
7. Utilize WMS/ERP system and reporting for inventory look-up, location management, etc.
8. Proficient use of required power equipment for picking and stocking including a WAV and electric power jack.
9. Complete inventory cycle counts
10. Other duties as assigned.

Education Degree

Required Experience and Skills

1. Two years’ experience working in domestic and/or international shipping, and strong knowledge in international shipping documentation.
2. Two years’ experience with computerized warehouse management system
3. Two years’ material handling experience (i.e., powered equipment) 
4. Ability to read and understand instructions, diagrams, and quality check sheets. 
5. Ability to interpret, follow, and train other on written procedures to ensure product shipping meets required specifications.  
6. Detail oriented with ability to identify items against specifications. 
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while staying focused on achieving goals related to safety, quality, and delivery/customer needs. 
8. Able to run manual and powered pallet lift and restock materials as needed. 
9. Promote cooperation and commitment within a team environment. 
10. Ability to work well with others and use good interpersonal skills.  
11. Ability to make adjustments or inputs to computer or handheld WMS device
12. Basic troubleshooting - ability to identify and describe machine issues to maintenance  
13. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to respond in order to make in-process adjustments in a timely manner 
14. Computer literacy; Microsoft Office, specialized shipping software, handheld WMS devices

Preferred Experience

1. Powered Equipment certification
2. Experience with UN/DOT regulations
