The Clinical Educator is viewed as the “go to” person within the organization with respect to the endoscopy industry. This includes the Key Surgical education program, industry publications, and speaking engagements. This position’s main area of focus is employee education, customer education, publications, professional certification, and industry knowledge.

What You Will Do

Employee Education

  •  Assist Key Surgical employees through the IAHCSMM CSSVP and SGNA GTS certification 
  • Develop training based around relevant topics within the industry for both the sales and customer service team
  • Be prepared for regular Q&A sessions with the sales team
  • Develop a competency test per CE presentation for the sales team 

Customer Education

  • Develop a series of CE courses to be given by the Clinical Educator and featured as part of the online education program
  • Develop a series of in-service programs (shortened CE presentations) and train the sales representatives to deliver these programs during their site visits to customers
  • Develop a series of presentations that can be given as part of the formal program at regional and national conferences meetings
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management to provide clinical resources such as CE courses, social media content, IFU’s for products and a pathway to forward technical questions to the company

Product Development

  • Work with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop and manage a cross-functional process that improves on how new product ideas are vetted, defined, and specified to insure a stream of new products for the company
  • Be an active participant in the development and realization of new products


  • Perform administrative duties in the Key Surgical learning management system (LMS)
  • Publish select articles in relevant journals and industry publications
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure media relations remain aligned with company branding
  • Active involvement in professional organizations


What You Need To Be Successful

  • College degree required
  • IAHCSMM Certified Central Service Vendor Partner (CCSVP) required
  • IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) preferred
  • SGNA Advanced GI Technical Specialist (AGTS) required
  • 1+ years' clinical endoscopy industry experience required
  • Prior clinical education experience strongly preferred
  • Established network of endoscopy professionals
  • Excellent skills in teaching, presenting, public speaking and delivering training and education to large groups
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint required; knowledge and experience developing training with educational software platforms preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills are required, along with a high level of professionalism
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate technical information
  • Approximately 20% travel is required to attend trade shows, regional and national conferences, and industry events
