Position Summary

If so, Steris are looking for an Customer Service Engineer to join their dedicated team in Harwell, Oxfordshire! As the Customer Service Engineer, not only will you have experience in a customer facing, internal sales or similar role, you will be an efficient communicator with a proactive and focussed attitude. Your role will encompass activities that will support the operations team while delivering fantastic customer communications and admin duties surrounding this.

Duties

As an Customer Service Engineer for Steris you will coordinate various office tasks and functions to ensure the smooth running of office operations and processes. You will also be responsible for working closely with customers to support the internal sales duties.

Other Customer Service Engineer duties will include:

  • Acting as the 1st point of contact to deal with dosimeter sales and associated customer communication
  • Organise and work alongside freight companies to arrange deliveries of products to customers globally
  • Deal with export licences and government organisation to ensure correct dispatch paper work and licenses are available for shipment
  • Provide marketing support for the Dosimeter sales
  • Support and deputize for any other members of the Management team when necessary
  • Manage projects and objectives set and agreed with the General Manager that aid the business and financial objectives
  • Work within Quality procedures and instructions
  • Report any issues or concerns that may arise relating to any processing of Health and Safety issues
  • Prepare and implement QA documentation for sales and production
  • Support day to day operations through management and support of the site admin function

  • Working experience in an internal sales, production, QA or similar role
  • Strong communicator- both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Logistical and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • B2B and customer facing experience dealing with order placement and management
  • Able to liaise with different services including freight and courier services
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office applications and other software/data interfacing experiences
  • Proactive and goal focused approach
  • Knowledge of the principles of ‘Lean Management’ and continual improvement practices (desirable)
  • Knowledge of GMP and FDA medical device requirements (desirable)
