The Role

This position manages Strategic Market program operations including guiding and measuring their performance.  This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with program business obligations, pricing strategy and analytics as well as providing recommendations based on financial data analysis.  The Strategic Markets Operations Manager serves a subject matter expert (SME) and will represent HuFriedyGroup to external customers including dealer/distribution partners.  Additionally, this position is the Strategic Markets liaison between the Sales, Finance, Legal, Quality and Planning teams to ensure the operational infrastructure is in place to effectively execute within the parameters required by Government & DSO contracts.  This individual will maintain the integrity of Special Market contracts/agreements and programs including:

  • Working cross-functionally with key resources to share program information (i.e. program implementation, pricing, contract item details, program updates, etc. and determine the appropriate purchasing strategy.
  • Leading data collection and analysis, contract preparation and submission of Government bids.
  • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with data, pricing and program terms as well as resolving pricing discrepancies, and program execution issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead projects to improve processes, generate revenue and/or provide cost savings.
  • Represent the Finance and Sales Operations Teams in strategic discussions regarding new and existing programs and processes in an effort to support organizational goals and share best practices.

This is a FULLY REMOTE position. Work from home anywhere you choose in the continental U.S. during standard business hours

What You Will Do

  • Draft, review and negotiate complex government contracts, including Federal Supply Schedule, ECAT & Blank Purchase Agreements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of our Federal Supply Schedule & ECAT contract; calculate required government pricing, organize additions, deletions and modifications/revisions through contracting officers.
  • Ensure HuFriedyGroup’s compliance in accordance with government contracts.  Manage contract/agreement renewals and Customer audits; work with internal and external customers as well as cross-functionally throughout the organization with key impacted roles and departments.
  • Develop appropriate documentation and write bid specifications and/or narrative as required to earn sales for the government market.
  • Utilize reporting capabilities to provide stakeholders with key insights to the business, industry and competitive market landscape; contribute to the development and implementation of profitable and sustainable revenue management growth strategies and projects.
  • Perform North America quarterly market share analysis and identify emerging trends.  Plan, track and analyze results of marketing promotions.
  • Work closely with Sales, IT and other internal business partners to ensure alignment of data for Strategic Markets rules and the operations/functionality of applications meet all requirements.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and help resolve data quality problems through appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Create, maintain and publish contract data standards, operating procedures, and key performance metrics and/or service level agreements.  Communicate analysis outcomes directly to impacted parties throughout the Dental division and to external Customers.

What You Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of related experience required, including working with government contracts and/or group purchasing organizations (GPOs)
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills including listening effectively and transmitting information accurately
  • Excellent analytical skills; recognizing patterns in data, information or events, drawing logical conclusions and making actionable recommendations.

  • Ability to manage, lead and generate government Request for Proposals (RFP) & Request for Quotes (RFQ).
  • Ability to communicate government contracting concepts to colleagues and customers.

What Will Help You

  • Expertise with managing Federal Supply Schedule & ECAT contracts, preferably Schedule 65IIC. Expertise with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFARS) requirements strongly preferred
