We are looking for a passionate marketer to join our small, but perfectly formed marketing team at STERIS IMS.

About the Team

The marketing team comprises of the Marketing Director and Graphic Designer.  The team work very closely with the Website Development team and the Business Development team who work closely together to share knowledge, experiences and insight.

This is an exciting time to join the business as we are rapidly developing and enhancing our products and services across Theatres, Sterile Service Departments, Electromechanical Engineering and Med Tech.

In response to this evolution, we are now seeking an experienced, dynamic and creative marketer who is considered a strong all-rounder, this is due to the diverse range of projects you will be working on. 


  • Passionate about finding and narrating stories of innovation from across our business to share with our Customers
  • Content marketing: you will understand, customer verticals, customer value proposition, pain points and topics of interest to develop and promote a rich content plan that attracts a qualified audience. You’ll be creating content like our customer newsletter, blogs, articles, social media posts, white papers, eBooks, case studies and website copy.
  • You will be responsible for the creation of marketing plans from the overarching marketing strategy
  • You will have full responsibility for proposing, planning and co-ordinating events - conferences, webinars, exhibitions.  This will include managing and organisation all promotional materials and give aways
  • Liaising and managing supplier relationships
  • Support with activity around sustainability and social value including but not limited to : website copy, reports, meeting administration and other duties as identified as part of the role
  • Manage and maintain an administrative library of photographs, files and other marketing systems whilst consistently monitoring and evaluating the best options for our needs

  • Inbound marketing – You will monitor and manage our Customer journeys in HubSpot working with the commercial team to ensure Customers are delighted and not frustrated, developing content and campaigns working with our in-house Graphic Designer
  • Day-to-day operation of company CRM (HubSpot) and marketing automation platform under company's best practices in support of general marketing and sales activity
  • Devise and deliver integrated communications plans
  • Ensuring output is on brand and in line with our internal regulatory processes
  • Monitoring spend of the marketing budget and raising PO’s as required using financial systems ( training will be provided )
  • Social Media and SEO : create a content calendar across all relevant social media channels including outreach to influencers / partners and ensure all content is embedded in great SEO practice
  • Email marketing: Plan multi-touch email acquisition and nurturing programs with compelling calls-to-action and build workflows to automate marketing or sales action

  • Paid Digital: Work closely with the wider marketing team and external agencies to create a programme of paid digital adverts to support specific content / vertical campaigns
  • Reporting: Keep track of your campaigns and activity through reporting and planning tools such as HubSpot and provide campaign reports for monthly senior management meetings including web and inbound leads.
  • Collaboration: Work with the sales and BD team to amplify company stories through the internal advocate network.
  • Surveys and Research are a key driver in our approach to market.  You will support the Marketing Director with Customer research, gathering data for NPS and building new transactional surveys as required
  • Manage all incoming enquiries across email and telephone where required
  • Other requirements identified as part of the evolution of the role and duties not identified in this profile as needs dictate


Required Experience

  • A marketing or business graduate with at least a year’s marketing experience or a minimum of 3-4 years marketing experience and evidence of additional marketing or business qualifications at higher level.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment or highly regulated industry a distinct advantage
  • Can do attitude and high energy to fit in with the fast pace of work
  • Passionate about people and a great communicator
  • A focus on quality and results in everything you do at pace
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to execution including event management

Required Experience continued

  • Analytical and evidence based
  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Technically adapt and pick up new software systems as necessary
  • Experience in HubSpot or similar CRM / marketing automation / reporting platforms •
  • HubSpot certification a distinct advantage
