We are currently recruiting for a Business Intelligence Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at leadership level in a division that drives the business forwards through innovation. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Be an inspirational leader, that plans, coordinates, and delivers data projects on schedule, working closely with the Software Development managers, roadmap owner and other business stakeholders.

2. Be a keen proponent of a ‘Data First’ strategy, promoting the use of Data throughout Steris and our software suite, enabling ‘smart solutions’

3. Demonstrate a passion for learning new data focused technologies, including data science, cloud storage, A.I, and other data focused approaches and future paradigm shifts with how large volumes of data can be managed.

4. Have an enquiring mind, constantly learning about the Steris business, the needs of the wider market, identifying opportunities for our data strategy to benefit Steris and our customers.

5. Provide line management duties for the Data science and business intelligence team leaders, data architect and other data related personnel.

6. Provide technical leadership, recommendations, oversight, and direction for solution delivery. Be recognised as an expert with extensive data architectural knowledge, who can advise others.

7. Provide technical guidance approaches for data projects and different perspectives for decision making when required.

8. Provide updates to senior management regarding the progression and status of features and releases.

9. Own the planning and leadership for completing complex data focused projects on schedule.

Required Experience

1. Excellent experience of Data Warehouse analysis and implementation

2. Excellent understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices and dimensional data modelling.

3. Proven track record of growing highly skilled and technical teams.

4. Deep understanding of data engineering, tools, governance and frameworks in an Azure environment.

5. Proven experience of creating data products, detailing approaches for reusability, scalability, performance and value.

6. Strong understanding of SQL

7. Experience of master data management

8. Experience of writing documents for external stakeholders and data engineers

Preferred Experience

1. Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., .Net, PowerShell, Python)

2. Microsoft SQL Server 2016+

3. Exposure to Machine Learning and AI technologies is an advantage.
