Position Summary

The role of Corporate Product Manager III is multifaceted: the primary responsibility is to initiates sales activity within assigned category for all GPO’s and IDN’s to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability objectives. Is also responsible for penetration of target products within specified key accounts. Performs market research to ensure STERIS IMS is offering up to date products, obtains Customer feedback to ensure products, services, and company is meeting Customer needs, and partners with marketing to develop relevant and effective marketing campaigns.

  1. Manages and is responsible for all aspects of assigned product category:  Account and IDN revenue growth, profitability, RPM training, pricing Intel and education.
  2. Works collaboratively with Vice President of Sales, Area VP’s, and Regional Sales Managers to coordinate the activities of Account Managers as it relates to contractual obligations and customer expectations during the “onboarding” and implementation process
  3. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert as well as a technical expert.
  4. Serves as liaison, facilitator and content builder for internal training protocols
  5. Assists in developing directional call to action and training protocols for penetrating the OR space
  6. Leads and collaborates on sales agreements with National Service Providers as it pertains to assigned category. Responsible for review of major RFP’s and executing strategies to win the contract.
  7. Creates PowerPoint and marketing content for advancement of sales and training; coaches Sales trainees on effective sales techniques.
  8. Provides instruction as necessary at STERIS IMS CLS training regarding assigned category.
  9. Directs Regional Product Managers’ activity and tasks through a dotted line management relationship with the Vice President, Sales, Area VP, and Regional Sales Managers.
  10. Provides content and/or personal participation in Key Account and IDN presentations.
  11. Industry spokesperson for trade journals and industry groups providing Subject Matter Expert content for, “best practices."
  12. Travels to new or existing markets with the express purpose of securing NEW business within the territory.
  13. Manages Customer repair agreements to ensure all products are serviced according to agreement.
  14. Works with Account Managers to build revenue, implement new accounts and sales opportunities.
  15. Performs business reviews with Account Managers and RPMs.
  16. Identifies additional revenue opportunities while at Customer location, such as product sales, Instrument/Surgical sales and Certified Pre-Owned sales.
  17. Ensures Customer service expectations are met and works to prevent and resolve issues and complaints.
  18. Work with the Customer to identify appropriate daily procedures.
  19. Provide Customer training on proper care and handling of assigned category instruments/devices.
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
  1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred.
  2. 10+ Years sales medical sales experience (15+ without degree).
  3. 8+ Years of sales training experience.
  4. Working knowledge of assigned category highly preferred.
  5. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  6. Must be willing to regularly travel overnight to meet with customers.
