AV Integration Technician - Texas

Our AV Intergration Technicians are critical to the installation, maintetance, and troubleshooting of our industry leading OR Integration Equipment. Join our OR Integration team supporting accounts throughout great states of Texas and Oklahoma!


Please note: Our AV Integration Technicians do a lot of travelling and this role requires90 -100% weekly travel including extensive drive/fly times and overnight stays. We are able to consider candidates from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston.


What will you do as a STERIS AV Integration Technician?

  • As an AV Integration Technician, you will work under the direction of the Integration Specialist or Integration Project Manager. 
  • Help install , maintain, troubleshoot and train on operating room integration systems. This includes physical placement of equipment, installation, termination and interconnection of all cables, downloading and configuration of software; and testing of all functions per test documentation as required. 
  • Basic duties include installation, testing, and demonstration of integration systems.  
  • Will work closely and interface with customers and hospital staff.
  • Provide verbal and written progress reports to the installation leader/project manager.
  • Perform administrative duties in a timely manner including checklists, internal reporting entries using our inhouse software, expense reporting, time entry, and others as required.
  • Maintains courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees.
  • Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.  
  • May be asked to assist with warranty calls, field upgrade programs, etc.  

What Experience, Skills, Abilities, and Education will you need?

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, mechanical or similar degree, plus one year of related experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of one to two years’ experience in a related field of work with service support and/or installation - biomed, electronics, audio/video, or hospital IT experience a plus. 
  • Excellent knowledge of personal computers, video technology, video cabling, networking. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Technical and troubleshooting skills along with strong organization and problem-solving skills required. Proficiency in computers and windows software strongly preferred.  
  • Excellent, polished customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and articulately with customers.
  • Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel extensively as required
  • Estimated travel for this role is 90% - 100% weekly travel with the expectation that you will leave for the work destination on Monday and travel home on Fridays.
