Automation Technician - 2nd Shift

Position Summary
The Automation Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the equipment, including routine maintenance and upkeep of the equipment. In addition, to maintaining the equipment and ensuring performance targets are met the Automation Technician will provide necessary training to other employees as required to ensure standardized methods are created and used for basic operation of equipment including start up, shut down and basic troubleshooting to resolve cycle interruptions. They will be required to be in the Assembly Rooms during their scheduled shift to ensure that the equipment is running as designed.
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 2 pm - 10 pm.
What You'll do as a Automation Technician
- Assisting engineering in steps of the design process.
- Assist to create, test, improve and validate automation equipment and processes.
- Create and maintain standardized work with regards to the day-to-day operation of equipment.
- Able to understand and excute approved validations (IQ,OQ, and PQ).
- Perform measurements using quality inspection tools
- Lead 8-step problem solding initiatives to reduce/eliminate recurrence of issues
- Prepare and conduct Statistical Analysis (CPK, DOE and Gage R&R)
- Ensures proper safety and company policies/guidelines
- Effectively communicate between Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with applicable department policy/procedures
- Ensure cleaning and work in 6S tasks
- particiapte in LEAN and Continious Improvement events
- Perform any and all other duties assigned.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years’ hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment or equivalent experience.
- Must be timely in the completion of tasks and communicate well at all organizational levels.
- Understanding of Lean concepts and the ability to demonstrate everyday incremental improvements within job scope.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment; high customer empathy and desire to enthusiastically serve.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs; heavier lifting is necessary on occasion and the employee is required to ask for assistance above 50 lbs.

Pay range for this opportunity is $22.96 - $30.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
