Position Summary

 

The Commercial Support Manager will be based in the Charlotte Offsite Reprocessing Center (ORC) and will serve as support to the SVP & President for Healthcare and other senior leaders. The individual will also serve as onsite support for Customer engagements in coordination with the Sales Enablement team.

 

Reporting to the SVP & President for Healthcare this position serves to provide a diversified array of efficient, effective, and productivity increasing services to the Healthcare Management Team (HMT) and SVP & President of Healthcare.  These services include anticipatory working partnership with the SVP & President of our Healthcare business and Healthcare Management Team to effectively run strategic business discussions, project manager for assigned and supportive projects, take on Customer requests, prepare leadership for Customer engagements and key business meetings, leading designated elements of sales projects, and interacting with all groups within the Healthcare organization.  

Duties

 

Project, Analytical Data Management:

  • Collaborating with HMT team members to determine and prioritize business priorities & strategies
  • Intake, review, preparation, analysis, and responding to Customer and internal inquiries in partnership or on behalf of SVP & President
  • Providing SVP & President and other senior leaders with insight and analysis on the business units operations
  • Providing department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork
  • Providing tactical support to implement ideas through lean principles and project management tools
  • Working with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
  • Identifying and helping solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
  • Build and maintains strong relationships with all internal Customers; routinely asks for feedback and modifies service level and needs based on the situation
  • Providing support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
  • Gathers & interprets sales and pricing analysis, with emphasis on answering specific requests from senior leaders Customer.  Through analysis of data infers and builds succinct communication back to internal/external Customers.
  • Lead & engage STERIS and non-STERIS resources assigned to specific assigned project or Customer request efforts, including defining each team member’s role and responsibility
  • Uses a variety of financial analysis including descriptive statistics, forecast, charting, trend analysis
  • Develops recommendations emerging from cross-functional work.  Recommendations should include appropriate analytic background including a specific estimate of impact and a risk assessment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across functions including leadership standard work, key performance indicators and root cause counter measures, visual management, and standard work
  • Leverages process understanding and value-based prioritization to initiate continuous improvement opportunities that maximize department efficiency and effectiveness for Healthcare team
  • Define and implement improvement opportunities by working cross functionally with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Sales, Service, and Supply Chain in Healthcare organization
  • Develops and leads projects specifically with organizational change management principles and Lean principles woven in

Calendar, Expense, Meeting Logistics, Office Management & Customer Event Management:

  • Managing the SVP& President’s, and other HMT member(s) calendar, including meetings, travel and event coordination
  • Manages the office & Customer entrance environment, and facilities for the Charlotte ORC.  Ensures location is maintained as a Customer visit site and leads all activity on the ground in coordination with Sales Enablement team
  • Planning, coordinating, meetings and workshops on behalf of HMT; responsible for keeping contents of a meeting focused and using specific methodologies to ensure actionable performance
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance his/her own skills; is as continuous learner
  • Other duties as assigned; duties may vary based on needs of Healthcare management team and Customer

Required Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration or similar field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years in a business or management positions
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Proven success in a project coordination role
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form with a strong focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience with emphasis on financial & analytics operations
  • Track record of successful project & process management 
  • Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.
