Position Summary
The HuFriedyGroup Dental, a division of STERIS is seeking a summer intern. The internship will provide full-time summer employment for the intern candidate, as well as the opportunity to work in and learn how a professional IT operations team works. The candidate will take direction and work alongside the current IT Operations staff, as well as work on dedicated projects which will enrich their knowledge of market-leading modern IT services. Additionally, the Intern position will have the opportunity to interface directly with our global end-users to provide support and assistance. The IT staff looks forward to the opportunity to instruct, share knowledge and collectively learn alongside an intern. The IT team will be interested in any candidates that are eager to learn and work with cutting edge technologies, and who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Provide hardware and software support to the end-user community which could span multiple geographies
- Become an active member of the on-boarding team (Active Directory, Office365, hardware inventory/provisioning)
- Become an active member in the end-user/computer off-boarding process (Software license and account recovery procedures, etc.)
- Develop basic SharePoint skills by working on a project to update the end-user Add/Change/Remove forms to allow for improved onboarding experience
- Develop skills with Service-Now ticketing system and assist with the planning and roll-out efforts of Service-Now ticketing systems
- Work on ad-hoc SharePoint projects to improve the value of the company Intranet
- Work on improving and updating IT documentation in Microsoft Teams sites
Required Experience
- College level Sophomore or above, Preferred College Junior or Senior
- Well experienced using Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Experience in basic computing concepts and IT principles.
- Communicate and present in a professional manner
