Position Summary

Our dental segment, HuFriedyGroup, enables dental professionals to reduce risk, improve efficiencies, drive compliance, and enhance patient and staff safety. At HuFriedyGroup, we are committed to helping dental professionals perfect their craft and deliver the highest level of care to each patient. The Production Planner will be responsible for planning and preparing production schedules for manufactured products following sales forecasts and customer demand in a make-to-stock and make-to-order environment. You will manage MRP exception messages and adjust schedules accordingly. You will also make sure that production and capacity requirements are aligned and take appropriate steps to ensure supply will be available to meet demand based on due dates.

What You Will Do

  • Review and identify forecast data issues that could impact the integrity of the Production Schedules and resolve Capacity constraints.
  • Assure timeliness of order completion by managing the MRP process, while executing orders and managing the reschedule processes.
  • Runs MRP on an as required basis due to exceptional demand or other conditions that affect material planning.
  • Maintain high levels of on-time completion of production orders by work centers and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Continually review inventory quantities to insure appropriate stock levels are in place to meet demand while keeping within acceptable budget levels.
  • Determine, execute, and publish production schedules while monitoring production flow to capacity constraints and resolving scheduling problems.
  • Coordinates and conducts meetings with appropriate staff and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

What Will Help You Be Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management and/or related field. 
  • Minimum one (1) - three (3) years of supply chain related experience.
  • Familiar with manufacturing practices.

What Will Help You Be Successful - con't

  • Understanding of SAP, MPS, MRP, and CRP
  • CPIM desirable
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written (English)
