At STERIS IMS we are the trusted experts in surgical instrument sterilisation. We offer on and offsite re-processing, alongside reliable instrument maintenance solutions. We are recruiting for staff on a flexible working basis, with 0 hours contracts. You tell us your availability, and we work around you!

What is involved?

  • Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
  • Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
  • Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
  • Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
  • Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
