Product Manager - Modular Construction

Position Summary
The Product Manager – Modular Construction is responsible for product development and build management, market development, construction development/operations, and product training related to the Modular Construction Line, including Modular Sterile Processing Departments and Modular Offsite Reprocessing Centers. Significant interaction with internal and external company resources. Requires the ability to solve complex modular construction situations involving internal business process development, intradepartmental collaboration, Customer satisfaction, and tactical business decisions. This role will require up to 70% nationwide overnight travel.
Duties
- Provide day to day operational oversight of the product line.
- Maintain pipeline reports on project activity.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance and support to the product line and business unit.
- Create and manage all capital requests for submittal to STERIS senior management to build new products.
- In conjunction with management, assist in the development of core positioning and messaging for the product line.
- Manage new build capital equipment order process.
- In conjunction with assigned Project Managers, attend weekly calls with suppliers and Customers to manage the overall construction process.
- Manage unit drawing packages, site preparation guides, facility requirements, utility guides, etc.
- Work with unit manufacturer to setup and maintain onsite build quality inspections during build phases.
- Utilizing lean principles, lead strategic and operational initiatives through execution and user training.
- Manage Customer purchase orders and upload legal agreements in Oracle to generate Customer invoices.

- Requires deep understanding of a modular unit design, functions and capabilities.
- Address any issues, problems and changes with any of the products associated with the Modular product line.
- Work with suppliers on new builds, commissioning, decommissioning and field support of modular units.
- Operational leadership and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrates ability to provide issue resolution for external and/or internal Customers.
Education Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 -10 years general business experience with 6-8 years' experience with emphasis on construction development/operations, continuous improvement, and a minimum of 3 years customer service experience
- Demonstrated problem-solving, negotiation, analytical and project management skills
- High degree of technical aptitude with significant multi-tasking capability
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, with track record of successfully motivating cross functional teams
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and on-line presentation tools
Skills
- Proven track record of successful project management including 3+ years of cross functional management
- Ability to assist in the design of the Modular product strategy and roadmap
- Understanding of the medical industry, hospital operations and perioperative process flow
- Able to read and interpret architectural plans in Autocad or BIM format. This includes but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and IT.
- Demonstrates continued developmental skills necessary to create project plans and formulate recommendations
- Operational leadership and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance and support to the business unit
- Ability to perform product demos to internal and external Customers
- Demonstrates comfort with ambiguity, anticipates the implications and consequences of situations and takes appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
- Ability to develop, sponsor, and/or support the introduction of new and improved methods, procedures, technologies or products
- Financial acumen and capability to monitor costs and pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
Pay range for this opportunity is $91,250.00 - $127,575.00.This position is eligible for bonus.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
