Position Summary
Oversees the management and facilitates production and quality within multiple onsite Customer IPS engagements. Ensures Customer expectations are met by pro-actively managing activities and complying with contractual obligations. Provides on-site support, training and communication to sterile processing department management and personnel. Ensures proper operational processes are followed by all members of the team in conjunction with the standards set forth by the Department of Health, TJC, DNV, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN.

LEADERSHIP
- Ability to motivate and manage a leadership team to provide excellent day-to-day service to support the operations of multiple healthcare on-site sterile processing departments and ensure delivery of the contracted deliverable and company initiatives.
- Collaborates with the STERIS Business Development partner to ensure Customer and STERIS expectations are defined, achievable and properly communicated to the Customer. Ability to reset and maintain expectations through the engagement to achieve contracted deliverables.
- Determine the appropriate resource requirements to properly align staff to meet the contract deliverables for multiple departments at multiple sites and properly aligns staff with fluctuating demand and ensures leadership team possesses this same ability

CUSTOMERS
- Build a web of influence with decision makers at the highest level of the organization and conduct, in conjunction with Business Development Team business reviews to review KPI’s and contractual expectations
- Ensure delivery of Customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Resolve Customer issues in a timely and efficient manner by discovering the root causes of problems and processes and develops a plan with measurable outcomes to track progress
- Leads the resolution of Customer issues in a timely and efficient manner by discovering the root causes of problems and processes and develops a plan with measurable outcomes to track progress. Brings in additional support as needed to resolve Customer concerns.
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the contract(s) and maintains strong relationships to ensure a high-quality product is provided in relation to contractual scope
- Identify opportunities to provide additional services by maintaining strong Customer relations and ensures the satisfaction of Customer deliverables

OPERATIONS/PROCESSES
- Demonstrates understanding of the Instrument Processing Division’s processes and the ability to manage, train and implement in multiple sites while focusing on continuous improvement
- Develops and enforces the implementation of policies, new processes, procedures, product conversions, new services, and programs in conjunction with the contract and STERIS to improve Customer service
- Possesses the ability to effectively manage a P&L with a large budget and can drive down costs each year through staff development and continuous improvement
- Uses Non-conformance documentation to identify areas of deficiencies and creates Corrective action plans to manage improvement
- Ability to effectively translate and implement business strategy
Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- 12+ year of healthcare experience with 8+years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or related industry or 8 years of healthcare experience with 6+years of leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (4+ Years)
- Active certification in sterile processing/central sterile via CBSPD or IAHCSMM required. If not certified at point of hire, it must be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Must be proficient in project management and strategic thinking.
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must be capable of learning additional software as required.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent multi-tasking, priority setting capabilities.
- Must possess solid managerial, analytical, organizational skills and financial acumen.
- Must have solid understanding and leadership experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
- Must possess the ability to manage and direct remote employees
Preferred Experience
- Instrument tracking software and employee management system experience (1+ Years)
- Medical instrument knowledge (1+ Years)
- Knowledge of Sterile Processing, Operating Room and Material Management functions (1+ Years)
