Position Summary

The STERIS Intern role will Support STERIS IPS and STERIS IPT Capital, and STERIS Endoscopy teams through subject matter expert consulting alongside a Principal Consultant. This role will provide support through strategic and operational consulting assessments and process improvement projects while improving Customer and/or internal operations, developing and supporting the transition of Customers to offsite or centralized external options, and developing brand loyalty to STERIS while maintaining a neutral presence. This Internship may travel extensively to Customer locations nationwide.

What You'll do as an Intern, Business Development and Customer Insights

  • Work with the Principal Consultant to develop and mentor resources that participate in process improvement. These projects are very focused in the peri-operative environment.
  • Focus on Customer process improvement. Develop Customer process improvement plan and provide executive leadership and guidance to IPS and Customer process improvement teams.
  • Mentor leadership on management best practices, lean methodologies, operational and clinical best practices, and change management to achieve measurable operational improvement.
  • Ensure that process improvement outcomes are favorable for the Customer.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • A four-year degree in Health Administration or a related field is required.
  • Must be pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Administration or a related field.
  • Working experience with all Microsoft programs, and knowledge of spreadsheet software and word processing software. Ability to learn CRM, Tableau, and other systems.

  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, creative, analytical, and detail oriented.
