We are looking for a creative, intuitive visual storyteller to join our small, but perfectly formed marketing team at STERIS IMS. Following a re-focus of our marketing strategy we have taken the opportunity to refresh our visual approach to champion our Customers and their patients.  This is a new role and will be based at our Head Office in Derby with the option of flexible home working. You will work with the marketing team and in alignment with the web development team.

In response to this evolution, we are now seeking an experienced, dynamic and creative graphic designer who is considered a strong all-rounder, this is due to the diverse range of creative projects you will be working on.

  • You will be able to create designs for digital and print based medium with perhaps the smallest lean towards digital platforms.  This is important to us as a marketing team because by 2023 we’ve committed to reducing our printed output to only 10% of what we output in 2018.  This is our commitment to Planet Earth!
  • You will help to develop and deliver creative briefs
  • You will be able to work independently but also work cohesively as part of a team of marketing and digital professionals
  • You will be passionate about typography, layout and graphic design and take your role as brand guardian very seriously as you work across online and offline mediums such as:  PowerPoint, event banners and designs, brochures and other documents, website design driven by the user experience ( UI ) , eBooks, Podcast visuals, Social media, digital newsletters, email, infographics and banner designs.
  • A distinct advantage is skills and experience in animation and moving graphics
  • You will be agile and a key member of the marketing team
  • You will work on Macs and use Adobe Creative Suite (knowledge of designing for HubSpot a distinct advantage)
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and able to proofread and spot errors.  If you can copyright as well you are an All Star !
  • Hold a degree or HND in Graphic Design with a minimum of 3-5 years experience
  • There is no preference for in-house or agency experience what is important, is the ability to creatively interpret briefs and to demonstrate real design talent
  • An applied understanding of theory and contextual application
