Position Summary

Plans, directs and oversees the shipment or receipt of materials, parts or products.  Ensures processes are followed to meet specific customer requirements.  Oversees and leads the work of team or department.  Assesses team members’ skills and determines training needed.  Manages the day-to-day operations of shipping and receiving department.  Monitors efficiency, turn-times, lead times and collaborates with Customer Service Team to effectively respond to customers.  Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members to effectively work together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.  Assists in training new shipping/receiving specialist and cross-trains current specialists to ensure optimum packing/shipping deliveries.  Studies shipping/receiving processes for effectiveness. Suggests improvements to distribution procedures and acts to improve timeliness or reduce costs. Documents shipping/receiving information, completes reports for management.


  1. Trains department employees regarding accuracy of all shipping and receiving responsibilities.
  2. Oversees accuracy of data entry according to current documented procedures on all incoming and outgoing orders.
  3. Oversees proper forensic testing of products by employees.
  4. Oversees procedure for proper disinfection for scopes as needed or required.
  5. Abides by all Company safety and health policies and procedures. Uses personal protective equipment if required. 
  6. Aware of and conforms to Company ISO goals and objectives and supports ISO requirements.

Education Degree

  • Associate's Degree

Required Experience

  1. Experience working in a shipping/receiving environment – minimum 3 years. 
  2. Experience in managing a work team – 2 years. 
  3. High School Diploma and 4 years in shipping & receiving or related field accepted in lieu of an Associate's Degree
  4. MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, Office 365 and Data entry – 3 years.

  2. Abiity to manage shipping & receiving in-coming / out-going processes effectively.

  4. Displays Positive Attitude and Confidence. 
  5. Communication Skills – Builds trust and solid working relationships with employees and others in the organization.  Shares information with others and goes beyond communicating only what is necessary. 
  6. Copes well with stress – Effectively deals with the concerns of the organization and the people in it and provides appropriate attention.

  3. Ability to manage processes, systems, and associates to logistically receive devices, route to appropriate area, and accurately gather, process and send devices to appropriate customer.  
  4. Ability to meet logistics and shipping and receiving key performance indicators to enable the Repair Operations Organization to effectively and successfully complete, and meet customer service requirements.
