Position Summary

Account Manager (Barrier Product Solutions) is required for our Benelux region, this isn’t your average Account Manager role, this is really getting to know the product and customers requirements to come up with bespoke barrier solutions.  Account Manager will be Contamination Control Products to the Life Science Industry, including, but not limited to:   Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, and Research Industries within assigned sales territory.

Account Manager will visit customer sites, attend trade shows, and stay current in the industry through networking, meetings and reading related industry information.  Ensures high customer satisfaction, effectively establishes multi-level relationships with customers.

Duties

  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quota for assigned sales territory.
  • Understand and articulate product features and how they apply to given customer requirements and needs. Utilize product knowledge to provide customer solution.
  • Present the STERIS products in a positive manner and maintain/build STERIS reputation in the marketplace.
  • Manage time, car, air travel, and sales activities to maximize effectiveness.
  • Identify top Life Sciences institutions including, but not limited to, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, and Research accounts to focus activities.
  • Maintain sound customer relations through timely responses to customer inquiries and requests via accurate and timely communication.  Timely follow up with customers.

Required Experience

  1. Must have excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational skills. 
  2. A broad familiarity with the following industries is a plus:  Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Biotechnology Manufacturing, and Medical Device.
  3. Proven success in sales. 
  4. Exhibits perseverance, persistence, and good follow through.
  5. Displays active listening skills and aptitude for science based technical information. 
  6. Computer literacy to include Microsoft Office desirable.
