Performs contract steam sterilization and sterilizer maintenance activities. Executes protocols for Steam sterilization validation, qualification, and engineering studies.

What you will do with us:

1.    Performs Contract Steam sterilization cycles according to validated process parameters, coordinates laboratory testing, prepares all documentation for final review and approval.  40%
2.    Monitors, calibrates and maintains all equipment and software relating to steam sterilization according to approved protocol, procedure.  30%
3.    Performs engineering studies for Customers as directed.  5%
4.    Executes protocols for validation of contract production cycles and for reusable devices as a back-up as directed. 10%
5.    Executes approved IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols as directed. 5%
6.    Assists with the coordination of steam sterilization schedule to meet internal and external Customer expectations. 10%

 

How you will learn your role:

  • Review work instructions along with vital policies and procedures
  • Take part in on-the-job training, overseen by your Hiring Manager
  • Demonstrate ability to meet the requirements of the job

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

You will be a great fit if you can:

  1. 2 years experience in a Sterilization Operator I position required
  2. Demonstrated ability to work in a regulated environment that requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
  3. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet expectations of Sterilization Operator I position.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
  5. Ability to work well with others. 
  6. Must have good mechanical aptitude.
  7. Demonstrated good organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
  8. Ability to understand and follows work instructions in all activities. 
  9. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  11. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team as circumstances dictate. 
  12. Willing to work on variable schedule as unexpected events occur.
