Position Summary

The Media Production Technician is responsible for executing assigned Media Preparation activies in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques, approved procedures and Customer specifications.


  1. Produce laboratory testing media as part of a production line while ensuring to follow Standard Operating Procedures, safety guidelines, environmental and health guidelines.
  2. Perform laboratory glassware cleaning and tool packaging
  3. Set up, operate, and shut down manufacturing equipment including but not limited to: sterilizers, industrial washers, dispensing pumps, pH meters, mixers, carboys, pipettes, laminar flow hoods
  4. Inspect products to ensure quality via quality control testing
  5. Perform Basic calibrate and adjustments to equipment and machinery settings according to procedure
  6. Perform planning tasks for future orders
  7. Document activities on applicable logbooks and specification sheets.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement meetings.
  9. Report equipment malfunction and repair needs promptly
  10. Work closely in a team to ensure timelines are met and team members are supported.
  11. Monitor and replenish inventory of components needed for manufacturing media and producing sterile goods and day to day operation of the department.
  12. Maintain cleanliness of workspace and tools

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  1. Production experience preferred
  2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
  4. Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions.
  5. Basic math skills.
  6. Ability to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs.
  7. Ability to work well with others.
