WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Facilities Engineer role, is a development role which supports the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the plant and facility to support the processing of medical and pharmaceutical products and services for our customers.
You will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the site maintenance engineers, following a comprehensive training schedule, aimed at equipping you to be able to support facility upkeep, basic maintenance tasks and undertake training which would provide a pathway to a qualified Maintenance Engineer.
The position requires a teamworking mentality and a can-do attitude focusing on continuous improvement, maximizing efficiency and eliminating waste in processes.

- Participate in routine maintenance work to an agreed schedule, following GMP documentation standards.
- Respond to plant breakdowns– both outside and during normal business hours, as and when these may occur and support the maintenance function.
- Assist in conducting PPM as per the schedule and ensure reactive maintenance tickets are closed out timeously, with accurate data captured.
- In direct conjunction with the site maintenance team, attend plant breakdowns both outside, and during, normal business hours. Participating in on call where needed.
- Actively participate in the review and development of TPM on site, in alignment with the maintenance team.
- Continuous review and maintenance of stock levels of critical spares, in accordance with site requirements and in alignment with the Lead Engineer.
- Maintain plant ancillary item stocks in line with local service level agreements.
- Update site related risk assessments for maintenance tasks, as and when required.
- Co-ordinate the contractor management program on site, ensuring permits to work, method statements and risk assessments are completed, presented, and managed during the planning and duration of engineering projects.
- Co-ordinate the routine servicing of site facilities, as directed by the Lead Engineer
- Improve and maintain workshop and plantroom 5s standards, focusing on health and safety enhancements and visual Management.
- Support KAIZEN and 5S events.
- Bring forward ideas in which efficiencies and improvements can be made to enhance the plant or facility.

- Participate in improving the training documentation and visual management systems related to engineering, as directed.
- Ensure that external servicing tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Able support Equipment Procurement and Cost down Activities in line with Maintenance KPis.

Operate to GMP documentation standards.
- GEP standards in Documentation. (Good Engineering Practices)
- Assist with defect investigations as and when required.
- Ensure that everybody on site follows safe practices, in accordance with Company policy always.
- Immediately report any near misses, accidents, or incidents to management in the prescribed format.
- Ensure that all external contractors follow site safety rules (RAMS and Permits to work) as appropriate.
- Assist with handling of radiation sources, under direct supervision of the Lead Engineer and/or Isotope engineering team (site specific)
- Trained to Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) level.
- Function as a classified worker (Environmental safety agency)
- Ensure the facility is continuously secure and a safe environment for employees to work from.
- Actively engage in the site sustainability program
- Actively participate in engineering enhancement projects, as directed.
