Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.  There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed. Additionally, we may be required to meet state mandates on COVID-19 vaccination, exemptions and/or booster requirements. This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.

This position works as a Trusted Advisor to STERIS Customers in the maintenance and purchase of medical devices and consumables as part of a high-performance team. You will offer on-site preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification, and installation assistance on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems in a high-stress healthcare setting to provide an excellent Customer experience. You may help STERIS grow by locating and proposing products and services to clients.

What You Will Do

  • Provide proactive communication and a dedication to rapidly addressing issues/problems to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on STERIS and related product lines in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To guarantee a positive Customer experience, provide timely PM performance, service calls, warranty calls, field upgrade programs, and other operations.
  • Perform minor installations as needed. Perform administrative tasks as assigned, utilizing technology to ensure optimal document preparation, utilization, and completion.
  • Maintain communication with the District Service Manager to bring him up to date on activities and developments in the assigned region.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, managers, support employees, and the sales team.
  • Identify sales opportunities and recommend STERIS products/services to customers to help the company grow. Leads should be communicated to management and sales employees.
  • Be a positive representative of STERIS at customer sites.
  • Respond to common customer and sales questions about equipment operation and performance. At the discretion of the District Service Manager, provide on-site support to the sales organization, limited to recognizing opportunities, size, and utility requirements.
