Position Summary

Overall operational responsibility for directing the growth and ongoing development of the North America Instrument Processing (IP) group.   Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the Interim, Out Sourced and Off-Site Repair Centers (ORC’s) of the company.


P&L responsibility for $110 million revenue stream with multiple regional locations.  Responsible for hiring, training, and delivering our sterilization services at hospitals around the country. This position ensures employee safety, Customer satisfaction, financial performance, quality / regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. 



  • Overall responsibility for the development and execution of short and long-term objectives, budgets, forecasts, policies, and operations of the Instrument Processing group. 
    • Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, customer service, and continuous improvement, along with human utilization.
    • Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans.
    • Presents monthly reports on performance as requested by GM.
    • Responsible for multiple ORC’s and Health System contracts with revenue of $110 million.
  • Reviews and approves the implementation of operational plans of services at hospitals and ORC’s in support of our strategic operating plan (i.e, cost/budget, manpower, etc.).
  • Experienced in managing Directors/Managers in multiple locations. 
  • Manages customer relations by defining and development of parameters for customer satisfaction and execution of appropriate objectives.  Acts as primary customer advocate for field service issues with emphasis on timely resolution.
  • Ensures health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures are in place and objectives are achieved.
  • Overall responsibility for the quality of service delivery.
  • Aggressively develops personnel to be able to grow within the organization and assume more responsibility.
  • Analyzes, reviews and approves IP service customer contracts.
  • Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of engagements immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination between activities.
  • Keeps employees informed as to company/department plans and progress via bi-weekly conference calls and weekly reports.
  • Consults with all segments of management responsible for policy or action. Ensures compliance within area of responsibility. Makes recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for operationalizing all continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drives a culture of employer branding and networking that consistently builds a talent pipeline for current and future openings in all defined hub cities.
  • Assumes other activities and responsibilities as directed by VP/GM.
  • Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

Required Experience
  • B.S.B.A. required.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to manage high-level staff.  Will supervise broad-based functional leadership such as Directors, Managers, and staff in driving strategic and tactical plans. 
  • Strong Profit & Loss experience with emphasis on growth, review, and income generation as well as strategic and market positioning. 
  • Sound business acumen in making strategic decisions based on financial statements and related analysis.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and employee selection and development. 
  • Minimum of ten to fifteen (10-15) years of general or operational managment experience.
  • Experience working in Lean and continuous improvement environments.
  • Ability to influence people in the opinions, attitude or judgments; to generalize, evaluates and decides, to adapt to situations under stress.
  • Experience in business systems development and deployment.
  • Commitment to delivery and excellence.
  • Exceptional Change management skills.
